Joe Reiss has been a fan of the Cushman scooter for over 50 years. He received his first Cushman at the age of 15, it was a 52 Springer eagle. Joe has manufactured several vanguard's and remanufactured many others. He took it upon himself as a personal challenge to build a better Cushman transmission and he did just that in 2002 with his 3 speed transmission and in 2007 with his 4 speed Vanguard conversion.
